My work in the field of technology started from an early age as a hobby, amateur
professor of computer software and Auto-cad engineering design. Soon, it was developed to become in 1998 an obsession and a real concern. First, I started to assemble computers and sell them to relatives and friends. Sometimes I was working alone, and in other times with one of my friends. Selling a single computer would take a day or two in 1998 .

After the year 2000, I began importing hp printers and distributing them in the local market; I still remember how I used to sell gratefully the hp printers model 645 and 845, which I was fond of their design and shape deeply.
My work has continued as an individual institution specialized in printers and computers sales as basic materials until 2006 providing local companies with lot of varieties. Our stock was full of different types and unique models of printers. I was so happy to be considered the distinguished number one seller of printers.
In 2004, hp agreed to open its business in Syria officially. Everyone was eager and motivated to work with it. I remember when I entered the hp business launching conference, I was the last arriver when I heard them saying: "here is the king had come" - as an indication of hp king in Syria), this was due to my enthusiasm and insistence on selling nothing but hp products. At that time, hp was a big challenge assigning new distributors in the Syrian market, however in 2005 they failed completely, closed the work due to imposed sanctions on Syria .
In 2006, the company was re-named to be Kassem IT; it has been moved to a new building including all work departments such as (headquarters, showroom and warehouse and other departments.) The Company's policy been changed to start working as distributors of large-sized printers (Large Format Printers LFP) to be the pioneers until 2011.
In 2008, a new branch been opened to work in hp products, network solutions and servers in addition to storage solutions since a year, where Kassem IT became a distributor in the UAE and Middle East markets; the advantage achieved through its increased activity is due to effective low costs as a small-sized company.
In 2011, Kassem IT Ltd. put into work its final management version where I became the CEO, and the company has become a powerful consolidation reaching out larger segment of customers and meet the needs of large volume sectors such as banks and governmental sectors.
The challenges faced by the company during the last 22 -years enriched its experience and resistance to all work challenges in Middle East region, in addition to raise our credibility in front of customers, which has great impact on the company's success .
